How Monster Brawl Works
In Monster Brawl, you can chosen Blook for your game character. In Solo mode, the Blook shown on your stats page which becomes your avatar, while in Hosting mode, you use the Blook you selected in side the game.
Before the battle begins, you must select a map Snowy Plains or Clock Tower. During the Spooktober event, the Snowy Plains map changes to a Halloween-themed version called Spooky Plains. After choosing the map, you must answer one question correctly to begin. From level 30 and above, you must answer two questions before starting a round.
Once the game starts, your goal is to survive waves of enemies. Each monster you defeat drops crystals that you collect to earn XP. The XP bar appears at the bottom of the screen and fills as you collect these crystals. Leveling up gives you upgrades that make your Blook stronger. Your health is shown in a green bar under your character if it reaches zero, you are defeated.
Enemy attacks become faster and stronger as you reach higher levels. Around level 45, the game becomes more intense, with more enemies appearing at once.
Items and Enemy Drops
If you defeat the enemy then it can drop several useful items for you. Which includes magnets, cheese for healing, and crystals that will help you to level up. Crystals come in three types:
| Crystal Type | Dropped By | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Blue Crystal | Low-level enemies | Common XP crystal |
| Red Crystal | Strong enemies or small bosses | Medium XP crystal |
| Purple Crystal | High-level bosses | Rare and valuable XP crystal |
During the 2022 Spooktober update (October 20, 2022), Monster Brawl received new Halloween-themed visuals, but the name of the mode stayed the same.

UPDATES
Monster Brawl, is updated several times after it’s released. And the update was announced by Ben in his discord server. Like, in one update Ben’s wrote. “Monster Brawl Updates (many based on your suggestions!) – Added Blook selection for Solo modes – You no longer can respawn when playing solo (still can in HW and live) – Changes to improve performance and reduce lag – You now have to answer 2 questions correctly after round 30 (the rounds take longer, so the questions should reflect that) –
Added Map and Difficulty Selection before the game starts – Updated Snowy Fields map (easy) to include Challenge difficulty – Added new Clock Tower map (medium) with Normal and Challenge difficulties (also features new enemy Blooks) Token Reward Updates –
Removed token multiplier at the end of games (instead, multiplied all token rewards by 3, that way it’s like you always get x3 and never get unlucky with x1) – Changed daily tokens to be a spin of the Daily Wheel at the end of games instead (these tokens no longer count towards the 500 daily limit) Bug Fixes – Blooks once again fall on the Play Game ID page Not always going to do these for updates as some bug fixes don’t need to be documented here, but happy to do it for big updates.
We still have another big announcement coming soon, but this is the major update for this week! I’ll do a feedback form later this week to see how you guys are liking the changes. I’m definitely ready to make changes to anything if it’ll make it better! (weekly shop and news update coming later tonight)”
Trivia
- Before rework, maximum Tokens were 135, but now players can earn up to 176 Tokens.
- There are some rumours saying some blooks found on this mode belongs to Clockwork Pack. But, there has been no sign in blooket source code to confirm it.
- Even though there are many “Clockwork” blooks (like the Alarm Bot, Clockwork Robot, and Lightbulb Robot), there is no official Clockwork Pack in the game shop.
- The game ends only when reaching Level 60, giving a final XP of 2591 (rounds to 2600).
- During the old version, players could select their Blook avatar in Solo, but after rework, the avatar matches the stats page, similar to Pirate Pool.
- Mystical Blooks appear as avatars, but the big boss Spooky Ghost is not animated.
- Monster Brawl has secret combo powers that let you get Level 11, like Rapid-Fire Lasers + Slicing Cards or Booming Bubbles + Dark Energy, if both upgrades are Level 10.
- Every big boss has unique traits and attacks; Spooky Ghost and Pumpkin King are the strongest bosses.
- Ice Slime is the first enemy in Snowy Plains but is not classified as an Uncommon Blook.
- Clock Tower map’s design matches the Clockwork banner, and none of its Blooks are obtainable yet.
- Some weapon combinations at Level 11 give special effects, like Sticky Syrup + Buzzing Bees producing beehives.
- Monster Brawl sometimes glitches, like the old texture bug or spacing issues with Crazy Acorns that could push enemies indefinitely.
- The highest upgrade in Monster Brawl is Level 11, which happens when two weapon pairs reach Level 10.
- Monster Brawl is inspired by the game Survivor.io, and many weapons are similar to that game.
- All big bosses in Spooky Plains are retired Blooks.
- Sticky Syrup has a Canadian Leaf logo, referencing real maple syrup from Canada.
- Some weapons are based on Blooks, like Peacock Feathers (Peacock Blook), Slicing Cards (Two of Spades), Buzzing Bees (Bee), and Boomerang Pizza (Pizza).
- Custom Blooks can’t be chosen in Solo mode, but Hosting allows using custom Blooks as avatars.
- The three smallest bosses (Red Slime Monster, Ice Crab, Donk) drop red crystals, while the larger bosses (Rock Monster, Yeti, Spooky Ghost, Pumpkin King) drop purple crystals.
- When health reaches zero, players can respawn in Hosting mode by answering three correct quiz questions, but in Solo, the game ends immediately.
- Even if a respawn question is answered wrong, the game gives another question to continue.
- Spooky Pack and Ice Monster Pack Blooks share the same stats because Spooky Plains replaces Snowy Plains during Halloween.
- The Ice Elemental and Werewolf have two versions: one that shoots projectiles and one that doesn’t. Clockwork Robot and Lightbulb Robot also shoot projectiles.
- Some upgrades in the game reference other games, like Rebounding Shell (Koopa Troopa from Super Mario or TMNT shell).
- Monster Brawl used to be a Plus-only game until September 29th, 2022, after which it became free.
- Every Spooktober, Monster Brawl changes to a Halloween theme starting October 31st, 2022.
- Laser Tag also gets special reskins for events like Saint Patrick’s Day.
- A new version of Monster Brawl released on January 23rd, adding the Clock Tower map and Challenge mode.
- At the start of some games, the screen may freeze; waiting for the “unresponsive” message and clicking “Wait” fixes it.
- From January 24th–26th, 2023, the Snowy Plains map had a green geometry glitch that was fixed on the 27th.
