Trivia
- In Tower Defense 2, the alien is the only tower that can provide detection.
- Most towers do not have detection by default.
- The Toucans are Birdlike Blooks and do not have detection.
- The Alien tower is unique because it is not birdlike but has detection built in.
- Detection is not needed for Toucans in the game.
- No one knows for sure if aliens exist, but the universe is so huge that many scientists think it’s very likely.
- Our galaxy alone has billions of stars and planets, and there are billions of galaxies, so the odds seem high that life formed somewhere else.
- “Alien” life could be very simple, like tiny bacteria or microbes, not necessarily intelligent beings in spaceships.
- Life might exist on other moons and planets in our own solar system, most likely tiny, tough creatures.
- Life on Earth exists in places scientists once thought impossible, like deep-sea volcanoes, suggesting it could survive in harsh environments elsewhere
- Even if intelligent aliens exist, the universe is so vast that a message could take thousands of years to reach us.
- Aliens may not use the same kinds of technology as us, which means we might be searching for signals in the wrong way.
- Any alien civilization that existed might have come and gone long before humans evolved.
- The Drake Equation is a tool scientists use to estimate the number of intelligent civilizations that might exist in our galaxy.
- Some experts have suggested an advanced alien civilization might build giant structures around its star to capture energy.
- Due to natural selection, aliens would likely have adapted to their planet’s environment, possibly resulting in very strange appearances.
- Life on other planets could be based on the same elements as life on Earth, or it could be built on different chemical processes.
- The theory of panspermia suggests that life on Earth might have originated from space.
- Tiny creatures called tardigrades, or “water bears,” can survive in the harsh environment of space and have been found on the Moon.
