Farmchain is a farming game mode in Gimkit. It is the fourth 2D mode added to the game. In this game players have to work together or compete to grow crops, earn money, and unlock upgrades. In this mode there are different currencies, special items, and hidden references.

Release Information
Farmchain was first teased on August 18, 2022 through the Gimkit Discord invite banner. More teasers appeared in the Back-to-School video and a news post on August 22, 2022. It was planned for September 2022 but officially launched in October 2022.
Gameplay Modes
Farmchain can be played in four different ways:
- Collaborative: All players can farm together.
- Two Teams: Players are divided into two groups.
- Three Teams: Players are divided into three groups.
- Free For All: Each player works alone.
Currencies
Farmchain uses four main types of currency in game. Which are the fundments to grow and keep growing your farm.
Energy
Energy is the basic resource. You need to earn it by giving answers to a question. It is used to move, collect water, plant crops, and unlock research. Generaly a things that reuqired momentum that’s where the energy is used.
Money
You can get money from selling crops. It is used to purchase upgrades and new seeds.
Water
Water is required to grow crops. Players can collect it from a well by spending 5,000 energy for 50 water. Trash collected in the Junkyard can also be exchanged for water.
Research
Research is collected from the lab. It unlocks new crops when donated. To obtain 10 research, players must spend 3,000 energy.
Normal Crops
In Farmchain, you can grow a variety of crops, each with its own cost, growth time, and rewards. The first crop available is Corn, which is free to plant. It requires 1 seed, 1,000 energy, and 10 water. Corn grows in just 5 seconds and sells for $5. The tooltip for Corn is “Have a corntastic day.”
The next crop is Wheat, which costs $25 to buy. It takes 2,000 energy and 20 water to grow, with a growth time of 10 seconds. Wheat sells for $50 but will spoil if not harvested within 2 minutes.
Potatoes are unlocked later. They cost $150 and need 3,000 energy and 30 water. Potatoes take 30 seconds to grow and sell for $300. However, they spoil quickly and must be collected within 1 minute.
Grapes are more expensive at $750. They require 4,000 energy and 40 water. Grapes take 1 minute to grow, can be sold for $1,500, but will spoil if left for more than 1 minute.
Raspberries cost $4,000 and need 5,000 energy plus 50 water. They take 2 minutes to grow and sell for $8,000. Like Grapes, they spoil after 1 minute if not collected.
A larger crop is the Watermelon, costing $20,000. It requires 7,000 energy and 60 water. Watermelons take 3 minutes to grow and sell for $40,000, but they spoil after just 1 minute.
Coffee Beans are high-value crops that cost $100,000. They take 10,000 energy and 70 water to grow, needing 4 minutes before they are ready. Coffee Beans can be sold for $200,000 but spoil after only 30 seconds.
Oranges are even more expensive, costing $500,000. They require 15,000 energy and 80 water, taking 5 minutes to grow. Oranges sell for $1,000,000 but will spoil in just 20 seconds if not harvested.
The rarest crop is the GimBerry, costing $5,000,000. It requires 20,000 energy and 100 water. GimBerries take 5 minutes to grow and can be sold for $25,000,000. They are the fastest to spoil, going bad in only 10 seconds.
Special Items
Along with normal crops, Farmchain also includes special seeds that give unique rewards. One of them is the Cash Berry, which costs 5,000 energy to plant. It requires a seed, 5,000 energy, and 50 water. After 1 minute, it grows and gives players extra money. Its tooltip even jokes that “Money does grow on trees!”
Another special plant is the Energy Bar. This seed costs 3,500 energy. Like Cash Berry, it takes a seed, 5,000 energy, and 50 water to grow. After 1 minute, it produces energy instead of money. The tooltip says it is “enough energy to get you through the day.”
The Lottery Ticket is a rare item that costs 15,000 energy and comes in a stack of 15 seeds. It also requires 5,000 energy and 50 water to grow, with a 1-minute growth time. The reward from a Lottery Ticket changes depending on how much game time is left. Its tooltip asks, “Is today your lucky day?”
The last special item is the Pepper. It costs 3,500 energy to plant and, like the others, uses 5,000 energy and 50 water. Peppers take 1 minute to grow and come with the fun tooltip “Spicy!!!”
